About Ron Barcel贸 Imperial Onyx Rum
What sets Ron Barcel贸 apart, is that their Dominican rum is the only one of its kind to be produced from sugarcane juice that comes entirely from their own plantations. Distilled in San Pedro de Macoris, Barcel贸 Imperial Onyx Rum is distilled from 100% sugarcane juice and aged 10 years in heavily-charred ex-bourbon casks. Before being bottled at 80 proof, this expression is filtered through onyx stones. The rum won the coveted Double Gold Medal from the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2021.

About Rum
Rum history allegedly started in the Carribiens in the 17th century when they started to ferment and distill molasses, a byproduct of sugar production. Most of the Rum is aged in oak or ex-wine casks, giving its color and flavor.
We distinguish between 4 different Rum categories, where white or unaged rum is mainly used in cocktails, while dark, spiced, and a帽ejo (aged) rum are mostly enjoyed neat.
