About ROXOR Artisan Gin
A James Beard-awarded chef with a Ph. D. in Bio-Chemistry would know his ingredients, and so it turns out Robert De Grande is great not only with meats and vegetables, but also botanicals. When he founded the New artisan distillery, he did so with one motto in mind: “Real plants make better spirits.” Their ROXOR Artisan gin, the first artisan gin Texas has ever put forward, is a fine example of his craftiness, creativity, and knowledge. The gin is a combination of traditional gin botanicals and plants for cooking: including fresh grapefruit and lime peels with Italian juniper, Egyptian hibiscus, some local Texas pecans, Peruvian cocoa nibs, and six other botanicals. Light on juniper and heavier on bright citrus, this gin is an extremely well-balanced spirit with a vibrant flavor and a smooth texture to the mouthfeel. Bottled at an ABV of 45%, it is best drunk on the rocks or (ROX…OR, you see) neat. It will shine in any cocktail as well: this is a tasty and easy-drinking gin that you can’t go wrong with. It comes in a spectacular architecture-inspired bottle that makes a perfect gift as well.

About Gin
According to Winston Churchill, “The gin and tonic has saved more Englishmen’s lives and minds than all the doctors in the Empire,” referring to the British officers using it to treat malaria in India.
Initially made for medicinal purposes, gin gets most of its flavor from the juniper berries added after the distillation process. It sure has come a long way from the Middle Ages, with the introduction of new botanicals, fruits, and spices, bringing it closer to people of all flavor varieties.
