About Sunday’s Finest Gold Fashioned Craft Cocktail
The cocktail starts with a proper whiskey base that consists of an 8-year-old Kentucky straight bourbon and 5-year-old Indiana straight rye. The Old Fashioned is a drink where the whiskey needs to shine and the folks at Sunday’s Finest made sure that it does with the characteristic bourbon sweetness and rye spice. Then, Sunday’s Finest proprietary Saffron Bitters are added. These are made with saffron, vanilla, cacao, gentian, and orange peel. The final ingredient is the fair trade demerara sugar, there to bring sweetness and balance to the mouthfeel. An atomizer is included with the bottle, just one spritz adding the touch of orange zest to the drink.

Robert Haynes comes from the hospitality industry. From 2007, his career spans working at The Violet Hour in Chicago, he helped develop and launch BËSK, a Swedish liqueur, and he co-founded the Analogue restaurant and cocktail bar. In 2017, he launched a line of all-natural liqueurs, called Apologue. His latest endeavor is Sunday’s Finest Gold Fashioned ― “the world’s first luxury ready-to-drink cocktail”.
